Celebrates 34-year relationship with Chanel
In 2015, we celebrated a 34-year relationship with Chanel (New York and Hawaii Boutiques) as its advertising agency. Such a long-term business relationship is considered quite an achievement in the luxury brand arena. Other long-term advertising agency relationships include Dior, Burberry, Bally, and Luxury Row at 2100 Kalakaua Avenue.
Leonard’s Bakery
Nashimoto & Associates was instrumental in the business venture between Leonard’s Bakery, a must-visit Hawaii icon, and Forest Inc., the Japanese licensee that opened the first Leonard’s Bakery in Japan and introduce one of Hawaii’s finest and most popular foods, the Leonard’s Bakery malasada, directly to consumers in Japan.
KAILUA
Nashimoto & Associates took the initiative to promote a new "Kailua Town Tour" for the Kaneohe Ranch (Kailua & Lanikai) merchants through major media outlets and Japanese travel agents which forecast 300,000+ Japanese visitors to Kailua for 2015. As a result of our efforts to promote Kailua as a popular tourist destination Nashimoto & Associates have expanded our Kailua client base to include Pedego Kailua LLC, Down to Earth Kailua, Kailua General Store, Lanikai Bath & Body, and Segway of Hawaii Kailua.

The Cheesecake Factory
The Cheesecake Factory hired Nashimoto & Associates to manage all their eastbound Public Relations for the grand opening and to continue on an ongoing basis.

FIRST USA STORE OPENINGS
Anteprima Wirebag, Rimowa, and Margo Tahiti Pearl selected Nashimoto & Associates as their lead agency for their first USA store openings.
Rimowa
Hilo Hattie
Hilo Hattie, the largest Aloha Shirt store in the nation, in which Nashimoto & Associates represented the client for all Japanese Adverting and PR for more than twenty years, successfully entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest Aloha Shirt in the world. Coverage included CNN News as well as other local and national TV stations and daily newspapers. Nashimoto & Associates was involved in contacting the Guinness Book in London, facilitating with the Guinness Book entry procedure, initiating the production of the shirt, and press conference coordination.
Nashimoto & Associates was instrumental in promoting the "75th Anniversary of the Aloha Shirt in Hawaii" working with Hilo Hattie company to create a huge international campaign in 2011.
Northwest Airlines and Hilo Hattie collaboration was facilitated by Nashimoto & Associates, creating a two-year-long campaign in which all passengers were able to redeem proof of Northwest Air travel for a Hilo Hattie Aloha Shirt at the Flagship store in Hawaii. The result of this campaign was a drastic increase in awareness and response among Japanese customers in Japan. This campaign helped increase Hilo Hattie Japanese market share to over 30%.
Waikiki Trolley
Nashimoto & Associates developed Enoa Tour’s Waikiki Trolley business from zero Japanese riders to 40%+, providing marketing consulting services, advertising, travel agency relationships, Japan Travel Trade Show attendance in Tokyo, and other promotional activities for over 10 years.
LIBERTY HOUSE
During its reorganization period, Liberty House assigned Nashimoto & Associates to supervise the image of the department store in the eyes of Japanese consumers, reducing misconceptions about the Chapter 11 status and promoting a more positive outlook. Immediate Public Relations action was taken, washing away any negative perceptions held by Japanese consumers. Nashimoto & Associates was chosen among nine other bidders to coordinate Macy’s grand opening and other Public Relations activities targeting the eastbound market.
"Discover Aloha" with JCB
The "Discover Aloha" campaign involved retailers who offered JCB holders, Japan’s largest credit card company with over 55 million cardholders, special incentives to use their credit cards for purchases inside their stores. JCB offered customers daily prizes as given to them from participating retailers through a lottery system based on receipts showing minimum purchase require amounts.
