Hawaii State Legislature 2018 - Opening Day

HONOLULU, Jan 17, 2018 - The 2018 Legislative Session opened on January 17, 2018. Select associates of Nashimoto & Associates attended the opening of the Hawaii State Legislature. Arriving early allowed this team photo under the Hawaii State Seal.

We visited the Senate Chamber while in session, and many Senators, Representatives, and Committee Chairpersons. We experienced various Hawaiian cultural and historical performances and workshops to honor Queen Liliuokalani, the last Monarch of Hawaii.

That's us, the four little specks standing in front of the Lieutenant Governor's office doors. The Governor's office is located on the 4th floor. From there we have a birds-eye view of the festivities on the ground floor.

We also had the chance to meet Fukuoka Prefectural Assembly Members, a delegation sent to Honolulu, which is their sister-state, as well as Ms. Rumi Ariyoshi, Consul of Consulate-General of Japan in charge of the economy. Thousands of people appreciated and enjoyed this social and political Hawaii State and community event.
